Audra and Vijay, Palos Verdes Private Estate
On this beautiful Friday evening in Palos Verdes The Charming Little Event Company had the unique privilege of coordinating the cultural ceremony of Audra and Vijay. What an honor it was to be witnesses to such tradition. We were first in awe of how beautiful the amazing views were at this home but more importantly the stunning attire from the guests stole your attention. The most vibrant colors permeated the scene from each outfit to the decorative décor.
After the guests took part in a traditional Pooja ceremony they enjoyed some delicious food from Manohar’s Delhi Palace. The wonderful aromas of the Indian food were inviting the guests back for seconds and thirds. After dinner what a treat it was to see the talents being displayed in the Sangeet ceremony. There was singing, dancing, instruments played all to the rhythm of love for the couple. A gorgeous evening on many levels.
Thank you Audra, Vijay and your families for the experience and for sharing your beautiful culture with The Charming Little Event Company.

Christine and Ricardo, Wayfarer’s Chapel and Portofino Hotel
A beautiful day in August was begun with an unforgettable ceremony at the Wayferer’s Chapel in Rancho Pales Verdes. Once the ceremony was finished, Christine and Ricardo made their way to the Portofino Hotel for their reception. As the evening began you could feel the excitement as two cultures were represented in the celebration. From the Mariachi Band to the DJ you couldn’t help but feel blessed to be a part of this evening’s celebration. This simple and elegant reception was just beautiful with it’s traditional soft colors of white and pink. We love the fun parasol shot with the Bridal Party. This was a memorable celebration and a beautiful story of love.
As the sweetheart table chairs say – may you always be “Better Together” and thank you for letting The Charming Little Event Company be a part of your memory.

Katie & Sam, Huntington Beach Wedding
A stunning couple, gorgeous day to get married and the most charming, rustic venue. All part of the beautiful wedding day of Katie & Sam on October 23, 2010.
Katie loved the feel of the Red Horse Barn and opted for a hand-made, comfy, and crafty design for the reception. Found provided awesome vintage furniture pieces around the dance floor, the dessert & gift tables, and made SUCH a difference in the space. Floral pieces were mason jars collected by the bride, and her family and filled with wildflowers and tied with colored ribbon.
For dinner, guests were first treated to hot, fresh-made quesadillas and cocktails, then Taco Man served up the most delicious tacos along with yummy sides.
Dessert was fabulous – homemade cookies by Katie’s mom, and donuts served with cold milk. The guests were truly enjoying this end of the night treat.
So great working with Hoffmann Photographer. Thank you for the incredible images!

Good Morning Granola
I’m a huge fan of granola, not in the fashion sense, just the crumbly, crunchy stuff!
My kids love it just as much. At McD’s, they don’t want chicken nuggets or hamburgers, they go right for the yogurt parfait. At home we make our treats with Sprouts granola, blackberries and yogurt. Yum!
Of course, I went giddy with the sight of these jars and labels from Pink Peacock Designs , and you can print your own free here. Fabulous Christmas gifts or as a display on Christmas morning among the french toast, eggs and fruit.
It’s Rustic and it’s vintage and it’s lovely
I’m working with one of my fabulous 2010 brides on her detail-infused, rustic yet elegant and vintage wedding. We have had so much fun going over ideas and more ideas. Browsing some blogs, I found these great photos that really capture a similar feel.
Our details actually have more lace, more birch wood and lots of jewels. Oh I can’t wait to share!
