Adding a lounge area to your wedding site creates a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests. Some couples have brought in couches, pillows and blankets for the ceremony as well as the reception, and some keep it more simple by offering comforting lounge furniture in the cocktail area.
You can go very dramatic with rich, vibrant colors or stay modern and clean with a basic white/tan and a punch of color like yellow.
Here are a few examples to get you feeling cozy, ASAP:

Romance. What is romantic to one may not be for another. I for one would never consider the cold, white mountain ski resorts to be an ideal honeymoon. I am a island, sun, mai-tai type of girl!
Continuing on with the travel theme, I wanted to provide you with a great site to find your ideal spot. Visit the Romantic Places website and search by areas of the world, hotels, driving tours or seasonal highlights. You will get pricing info., a brief description of the property and a link to their website.
How do you know the locations listed are truly romantic? Here is text taken from the website on what types of places are listed and what types are not: We’re drawing the line on hotels / condos / time-share properties, however. We just don’t think kitchens and all they entail — food shopping, cooking & cleaning up — belong in a romantic place.
I have been doing quite a bit of traveling in the last few months. Most of it has been for pleasure, which is always nice! I was invited to a family member’s wedding in Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend and once again I pulled out my handy-dandy rolling luggage and duffle bag to pack my stuff, my husband’s stuff and my baby’s stuff.
We all need our own bags, you see. Well, this got me thinking about how I could simplify my luggage/packing/traveling routine. Wouldn’t you love some tips to share with your out-of-town guests and for your own vacationing rituals (and honeymoon, of course!)?. I did some research and found some interesting solutions.
~ Weekend trip luggage: Go with a 22″ wheeled suitcase with a retractable handle. This size can make it past the security checkpoints and you can use it as a carry-on.
~ Week or more luggage: Use a 24″ to 27″ inch wheeled suitcase with a retractable handle, which is large enough to fit clothes for 10 days along with 4 pairs of shoes. Any more weight than this you will be lugging around a very heavy bag.
~ Make-up/grooming bag for a shorter trip: Sonia Kashuk makes a cute padded bag, with plastic lined interiors, available at Target. For a longer trip: Use an expandable style to hold more products in more compartments. Here are some from Flight 001.
~ Messenger bag for carrying all the important “keep by your side” items: Check out the ultra hip and stylish selections from 2 modern.
~ Sending your bags ahead of you. Luggage Forward. A door-to-door luggage service. You choose date, pick-up time and insurance (optional) via phone or on-line. Your bags are delivered to your destination. Nice!
~ All liquids needs to be packed in individual three-ounce containers, enclosed in one clear, quart-size, plastic, zip-top bag per passenger. Any larger containers of liquids and gels have to go in in your checked luggage.
Let’s talk hair! Even though the company name seems to favor those with with long locks, the pieces for sale can work for any style! I found the most gorgeous hair pins, sticks, clips and barrettes at Long Hair Girl. They have tons of choices and the cost won’t break the wedding planning bank.
