The baby and I arrived at the El Paso airport Sunday afternoon – excited to visit my mom for a whole, work-free week! I love coming here to the small town life, which is so different from the day-to-day bustle back at home. We’ll be back next Sunday…
I love this hidden jewel in OC! Rancho Capistrano is located right off the 5 Freeway in Orange County but once you are there, it really feels miles & miles away. The grassy hills surrounding the venue make for such a great photo backdrop, makes you think there is a ranch nearby!
Laura and Calvin married on March 29th and used vibrant, bold florals to accent the bright day and bright green/blue of the grass and sky. Thanks to Rainbow Flowers in Long Beach!
Tiffany blue napkins and fruitwood chivari chiars were provided by Atlas. Music provided by Danny, NYC-DJs and as always, guests danced all night and a true party was inevitable! Cake was made by Heidellberg and was sooo delicious (yes, we do sample the cake at the wedding if there is plenty available!).
So many thanks to Reeta & Daniel Treet from Verge Photography, who were so patient and caught the most beautiful pictures throughout the day. Verge is based in Colorado but they made the trip to Laura & Calvin’s wedding!
Another gorgeous wedding at the Reef, Long Beach, on May 3, 2008. Denise & David are so much fun and have such great energy. The simple, yet modern color choice of black, white & red made for a dramatic backdrop against the water and city view.
Denise and her bridal party looked fabulous thanks to the wonderful Nora/Puresemblance.
Our favorite highlights of the day were the charming and tasty candy table (guests couldn’t resist the large swirl pops that were meant for decor and scooped them right up!), Harpist, Ted providing ceremony music, the really, really good dance moves from David (although he completely denied being able to dance at all!), the garter toss, where at the Reef it is only normal that the garter gets caught in the huge chandelier, and the amazing cake, by Rossmoor Pastries, on the jewel-detailed, black iron cake stand.
Many thanks to Harvard Photography for providing these beautiful photos so quickly! It has been such a pleasure working with them before and after the wedding.
My family of three is about to become a family of four and we just recently found out the gender of baby #2!
Needless to say, my husband is extremely thrilled! We had our darling, beautiful baby girl in 2006 and now we can’t wait to meet our sweet baby boy sometime this September.
Happy Mother’s Day!
What a great find for those hard-to-choose bridesmaid gifts. At the Anna William website, you can custom-make a variety of bags: make-up, totes, purses, and more. The fabric options are lovely and so stylish. Choose the same bags as gifts or mix it up for each girls’ personality!
I attended a truly fabulous industry event on Wednesday night, celebrating the launch of the Wedding Chicks blog. My re-cap:
Food/drinks – incredible!
Decor – stunning!
Setting – to die for!
The setting was an evening at the beautiful, Arroyo Trabuco Country Club. We enjoyed the most scrumptious cupcakes, fruity champagne cocktails and fresh-made mini-donuts by the Fry Girl (yummy!).
Be sure to check out the Wedding Chicks blog entry for more details on all the wonderful event sponsors.
I will be sharing details and photos of beautiful weddings we coordinated in March and this month too!
Laura & Calvin married at the gorgeous Rancho Capistrano on March 29th. The outdoor ceremony and reception were just perfect.
Denise & David married at the Reef in Long Beach on May 3rd. The black & white details with red splashes of color were stunning.
Stay tuned for more!
