From Minted, this menu card is so country-chic and modern. You could also use as a Save-the-Date or invitation. More colors available!
This brilliant design allows you to personalize your menu card with your initials and a tag where you can write a message to your guests. Accompanied with an intricate floral design at the corner of the card.
Such a pretty accessory! Peacock feather hairpin by Tigerlilly
Add with a birdcage style veil for a more vintage feel:
That’s it! The theme of my baby boy’s first birthday party. I saw all of these vibrant and beautiful colors surrounding me and I thought – PERFECT – let’s use that and implement a Mexican-inspired celebration.
Not to mention the fun and yummy parties I went to while in our many trips to Mexico to visit family. Those gave me the most reason to throw this type of soiree for my little one.
Some of my inspiration:
Love, love, the vertically-enhanced cupcake! Sugarbloom brings to you not only a scrumptious delight but the directions on how to make your own. Do these not look absolutley yummy?
And the details, the CHARMING details! I have placed desserts on my plate that seriously took me several minutes to bite into because I was happy enough gazing into the sweet work of art!
Another Stat of The Week to share: Apparently, the amount a bride is spending on her bouquet is dropping a little bit.
Could that mean brides are opting for a more affordable version of their dream bouquet?
In any case, below are some pictures of my favorite bouquets: vibrant and colorful and romantic/vintage. Love them all!
Stat of the Week: Bride’s shoes! Looks like the budget for this wedding necessity is quickly dropping. Would you agree with this drop in price or do you see bride’s actually spending more on their beloved shoes?
While we are on the subject, I wanted to showcase some of my favorite “shoe-shots” for you! Thanks to Jasmine Star and Trista Lerit for the photos!
Due to my absolute love of ceremonies with gorgeous views, I will be showcasing some of my favorites. First up, the one and only Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Yes, my very own wedding ceremony was held at this heavenly site, so i’m truly and proudly shining the spotlight on it first! I remember hearing about the chapel and how amazing it was, back when I started planning my wedding. As soon as my now-husband and I pulled into the parking lot, we KNEW for certain this venue was IT!
Not only is the interior charming and filled with natural beauty, but the outside overlooks the blue, sparkling ocean and cliffs.
Designed by Lloyd Wright, the all glass sanctuary is nestled in a grove of towering redwood trees and surrounded by 3.5 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens with a panoramic ocean view of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The exquisite Rose Garden forms a stunning background for wedding photography and videography. Evening ceremonies provide an enchanting candlelight atmosphere.
Many couples feel the chapel is a “wedding factory,” turning over lots of wedding each day but this site is definitely for a guest count of 100 or less and a small bridal party, so with that size of wedding, the two hours allotted really is plenty. Ceremonies are about 20 minutes in length, which gives you time for pictures afterward.
If you want to find inspiration for wedding florals, cakes, hairstyles, favors, dresses, etc. visit the Elegala Photo Gallery and search by color, specific detail, name and more.
Very convenient, narrows down the choice and you end up with great pictures to keep in your planning file. These are some of the searches I performed and the resulting pics:
search criteria: bouquets, peonies, pink
search criteria: Up-do, All hair lengths, All hair types, vintage/romantic
Make sure your guests know where they are headed and add some rustic decor to your space while you’re at it!
These wooden wedding signs are useful and add a lot of charm! One of my 2010 brides specifically asked for something like the pictures below, but of course I will have to add some Charming touches to the final product!
I cannot wait to put together the details of this fabulous day and share next year. Top two photos below from Leigh Miller.
