Donna and Tim are a very special couple and the The Charming Little Event Company was lucky enough to be a part of their intimate event. They had a beautiful ceremony at Mariners Church in Irvine. This is a gorgeous location that lends itself to breathtaking photos. For the reception guests headed over to Fig and Olive in Newport Beach. A hip and top-rated restaurant, which was the perfect place for such a reception. Immediately when you enter you are taken into a Mediterranean oasis with real olive trees inside, a courtyard, lush greenery and tranquil spaces.
The floral accents by Greenleaf Designs were stunning with their array of color. From orange, and lavender to yellow, white and green – they were definitely a focal point that commanded your attention. Guests picked up their escort cards from a garden trellis, adorned with fresh herbs and pretty greenery. One of our favorites was the kid’s table complete with markers, crafts and all the items a kid would need to be entertained. We love when we see a twist on wedding favors and Donna and Tim surprised guests when each one was given a special card letting them know that a donation had been made in their honor to Life Impact International on their behalf, along with hand made key chains in a variety of designs. It’s truly touching to see such selflessness being modeled on such a special day.
Donna and Tim, thank you for letting The Charming Little Event Company walk with you on your journey today. We wish you many blessings as you begin your new life together.

As a girl wearing many hats at many times, I am so happy when a product and company comes along to make things easier for me. Easy, crafty and pretty – my kind of stuff! I’m browsing the beautiful paper lovelies at Minted and my wish list is growing by the second. Here are some of my favs:
These adorable, customized (choose design, shape, style) paper products will keep my kiddos happy when writing. My daughter loves to write lists, notes, and anything else she can come up with. With Minted’s many options to choose from, she can get matching thank you cards, personalized stationary and envelopes. So cool! I’m a true believer in the lost art of the hand written note. Since my children were able, I would have them at least draw a picture or write their name on a thank you card for any gifts received during birthdays and holidays. Now, my daughter can fill out her own thank you cards and she truly enjoys it. What a great way to keep that tradition going – using quality paper goods that make it more enjoyable.
Hello indeed! How awesome are these handy dandy and utterly fantastic calling cards? Completely useful when trying to arrange the playdates and meetings throughout the school year. Clever and cute and definitely on my wish list!
Minibooks, it is truly like having a personalized website in your hands! I love this idea and product. Such a great way to share just a few important details about the big day. Lots of designs to chose from and some coordinating products too. This would be your guest’s first glimpse of what’s to come on your wedding day, so it definitely makes a statement!
I really, really like getting cards in the mail, especially invitations. I know on-line invitations sites are super convenient and easy and cheap and all of that and I get it! I use it myself sometimes but for certain events, the E-Invitation system just doesn’t cut it. On the other hand, pricey and difficult to make paper invitations are sometimes not the preferred choice either, so I was joyed to see these fabulous birthday postcards. A perfect option when you want to send something in the mail that is stylish, affordable and fun. Look at the back of the card – I love it!
There are so many more goodies over at Minted that deserve taking a look – party decor, photo backdrops, cake plates, gifts, seasonal items and lots more. Enjoy!
2013 started off the right way! The CLEC team was honored to help coordinate the wedding of Holly and Josh in April of this year at the Doubletree Anaheim. Tia, Holly’s sister, was the first to contact me about the wedding day details and I met with her and their mom and I could see how excited they were for their sister/daughter and how much time they had put into choosing just the right details for her and Josh’s day.
Just check out the shoe bling and the cake detail and the florals! Oh the beauty of it all…Captured by Lindsey Cahill, who was so awesome to work with!

I am in love with the many uses of Pinterest. Recipes – yep. Organization – yep. The latest fad in Coconut oil uses – yep. Wedding related beauty – oh yep.
My sample pic below is from one of my favorite Pinners – Such Pretty Things – all that makes me smile!
Writing that 2012 was challenging would be a complete understatement. However, along with those challenges came an abundance of blessings! I feel so lucky to be doing what I love, along with the best of the best clients, vendors and our team. It sounds like every Wedding Planner says this but I truly feel my couples are the BEST!!! Not only working with these brides and grooms, but forming friendships that will endure.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us Plan, Design and Coordinate events with a fierce passion just like ours. Here’s to a beautiful, blessed and happy new year.
Some 2012 highlights:
* Added Lana to our team to help with design elements and brother – she is good!
* Came back to my office space with some of the best women in the industry
* Honored to have been added to a few more venue preferred vendor lists – yay!
* Didn’t get a non-profit event that I spend the MOST hours prepping for, however, the experience gained was so beneficial that I felt as if I did get the work
* Proudly took my baby girl to first grade (I still cannot believe it). And took my baby boy to his last year of preschool before Kinder.
* Battled a scary and awful life situation for almost an entire year – thank you God for getting us all through it – and making me stronger at the end
* Seriously, I have been so lucky and every day of the year had its own shareable moment. Too bad I can’t list them all.
Happy New Year everyone! We would love to help plan your wedding day so please e-mail or call us to get started!
Thank you Joy Ever After blog for the pretty 2013 image!

So excited when my friend and colleague Liz King, Li’K Designs, called me and asked if I would be interested in helping plan an open house luncheon for the beautiful Crossline Church Venue, along with some favorite vendors of mine.
We got right to work with the lovely Gayla, Weddings Director, and had the most fun planning all the fun details. Thank you to Gayla for having The Charming Little Event Company as a preferred vendor!!
I suggested to Gayla that she contact Mary over at Jay’s Catering for the food and beverage since that would be a guaranteed success! It was beyond that! Delish….
Crossline Church is a hidden gem amid the hustle & bustle of civic facilities and Moulton Parkway. Drive up and around a hill and voila!! A stunning ceremony and reception location with a huge lake in the background. A must see.
Thanks to Gavin Wade Photo – Gavin and Erin for the beautiful pictures and brand spankin’ new marketing photos!
Reher’s Florist designed the altar arrangement, utilizing the existing items, which was super-creative and looked fabulous! Jana also created table arrangements that incorporated pops of bright colors, which really set off the neutral linen palette. Gorgeous!
Thanks to Fusion Linen for the stunning, romantic and chic linens PLUS the modern and comfy lounge furniture – a must for your event! Fusion can always be count on to help out and they are a truly loved organization within the wedding community.
Thanks to Aki for the hand roll sushi station! Yummy! He does way more than sushi too.
Thanks to Catherine, Catherine Joanne Cakes, for the most gorgeous and tasty cookies. Wow almost too pretty to eat! Almost…
And thank you to Cori, Events by Cori who was also asked to help plan the luncheon and she jumped right in to help with invites, rsvps, designs and more.
