Amy & Brian – Bowers Museum in Santa Ana

Happy Sunday everyone!  Yesterday marked our first wedding of 2015 and we were so excited to help coordinate for our amazing and sweet couple.  Today though I want to share one of the most beautiful 2014 weddings we have seen and helped put together at Bowers Museum!  Amy and Brian’s wedding was simple yet elegant and so pretty with shades of blush pink, ivory, white and greens to compliment the Museum’s lush garden grounds.  I am so glad to have had the chance to help Amy & Brian with their summer wedding last year and I wish you both the very best!

Paper Never Looked So Good!

As a girl wearing many hats at many times, I am so happy when a product and company comes along to make things easier for me. Easy, crafty and pretty – my kind of stuff! I’m browsing the beautiful paper lovelies at Minted and my wish list is growing by the second. Here are some of my favs:

Children’s Stationary

These adorable, customized (choose design, shape, style) paper products will keep my kiddos happy when writing.  My daughter loves to write lists, notes, and anything else she can come up with.  With Minted’s many options to choose from, she can get matching thank you cards, personalized stationary and envelopes.  So cool!  I’m a true believer in the lost art of the hand written note.  Since my children were able, I would have them at least draw a picture or write their name on a thank you card for any gifts received during birthdays and holidays.  Now, my daughter can fill out her own thank you cards and she truly enjoys it.  What a great way to keep that tradition going – using quality paper goods that make it more enjoyable.

Mommy Calling Cards

Hello indeed!  How awesome are these handy dandy and utterly fantastic calling cards?  Completely useful when trying to arrange the playdates and meetings throughout the school year.  Clever and cute and definitely on my wish list!

Minibook Save The Dates

Minibooks, it is truly like having a personalized website in your hands!  I love this idea and product.  Such a great way to share just a few important details about the big day.  Lots of designs to chose from and some coordinating products too.  This would be your guest’s first glimpse of what’s to come on your wedding day, so it definitely makes a statement!

Kid’s Birthday Postcards

I really, really like getting cards in the mail, especially invitations.  I know on-line invitations sites are super convenient and easy and cheap and all of that and I get it!  I use it myself sometimes but for certain events, the E-Invitation system just doesn’t cut it.  On the other hand, pricey and difficult to make paper invitations are sometimes not the preferred choice either, so I was joyed to see these fabulous birthday postcards.  A perfect option when you want to send something in the mail that is stylish, affordable and fun.  Look at the back of the card – I love it!

There are so many more goodies over at Minted that deserve taking a look – party decor, photo backdrops, cake plates, gifts, seasonal items and lots more.  Enjoy!

Colleen & Donny – Nixon Library

Such a fun and creative day for Colleen & Donny’s West Coast Reception at the Nixon Library!  Colleen called me and wanted help planning her 2nd reception for her and Donny’s West Coast family and friends.  They live on the East Coast and had a beautiful wedding and reception in New York and wanted to celebrate here with more of their loved ones.

This awesome pair had a theme in mind – Campaign/Running Mates/Red, White & Blue – and wanted to bring it all together on their special day by using things such as signs, campaign buttons and stickers, bold and big balloons in red/white/blue and much more.  Colleen did an amazing job putting together all the pieces and making the venue look elegant, stylish and fun!

Thanks to Colleen & Donny for being such a great couple to work with and celebrate with – congrats to you both!!

Alison & Brent – Serra Plaza, San Juan Capistrano

There are some weddings that we, as a team at CLEC, just do not want to stop working on!  Of course, we are thrilled to pieces when the day comes and we see all of the beautiful details come together, but we love our couples so much that it is sad to not see or hear from them like we used to!

Alison and Brent hired us over a year before their wedding day at Serra Plaza so we got to be there every step of the planning & designing way for these two.  This couple is real and awesome and so great together.  Not only are they beautiful on the outside, but they were a dream to work with – open to ideas, great taste and wanted the focus on their marriage, with some fab details here and there :)

I am truly honored to have helped Alison and Brent with their wedding day gorgeousness! Huge thanks to Smetona Photo for the fabulous photos and the fun we had on the wedding day! This was our first time working at Serra Plaza and I cannot wait for the next! The space is great – tons of character, flowing spaces, lots of items on-site to use for decor and their team is so nice.

Congratulations Alison & Brent!  Lana and I miss you already!  xoxoxo

Engagement Photos – Rania & Dan

Meet Rania & Dan , one of our fabulous and gorgeous August Couples.  I LOVE when a bride and/or groom calls me to chat about their wedding and we just click, over the phone, no meeting necessary!  Rania called me last year and in the middle of a busy and loud shopping center, and we had a great conversation.  She was referred to us by one of our favorite venues Portofino Hotel

We still haven’t met in person, but I got to see Rania and Dan when she sent me these beautiful photos by Ashley at A Picture Life Photography

So excited to see their big day come together this summer!

Morgan & Brett – Malibu Wedding Part 2

A couple of days ago, you saw the fan-tab-ulous pictures by Adam at Embrace Life Photo from  Morgan & Brett’s wedding ceremony.  Well feast your eyes on the details of the reception!

We wanted to create groups of details at every turn, so that guests could enjoy the abundant space and lounge areas provided such as near the horse shoe game, in front of the dance floor, near the pool and more.

Lighting was important to our couple, so we had extra twinkle lights brought in to wrap several of the tree bottoms.  It worked so well, the glow of all the lights made the space look so magical.

We also created a path via candles and varying sized jars  as well as wooden signs to help direct guests through the entrance area, into the reception glory!

Part 3 of the series will include the ~ SWEETEST ~ part yet to come, so check back!
