Due to my absolute love of ceremonies with gorgeous views, I will be showcasing some of my favorites. First up, the one and only Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Yes, my very own wedding ceremony was held at this heavenly site, so i’m truly and proudly shining the spotlight on it first! I remember hearing about the chapel and how amazing it was, back when I started planning my wedding. As soon as my now-husband and I pulled into the parking lot, we KNEW for certain this venue was IT!
Not only is the interior charming and filled with natural beauty, but the outside overlooks the blue, sparkling ocean and cliffs.
Designed by Lloyd Wright, the all glass sanctuary is nestled in a grove of towering redwood trees and surrounded by 3.5 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens with a panoramic ocean view of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The exquisite Rose Garden forms a stunning background for wedding photography and videography. Evening ceremonies provide an enchanting candlelight atmosphere.
Many couples feel the chapel is a “wedding factory,” turning over lots of wedding each day but this site is definitely for a guest count of 100 or less and a small bridal party, so with that size of wedding, the two hours allotted really is plenty. Ceremonies are about 20 minutes in length, which gives you time for pictures afterward.
