Feature in Reverie Magazine

The Charming Little Event Company was recently featured in Reverie Magazine for one of our real weddings! We are so excited to be apart of Reverie, and very grateful to be published in such an amazing magazine.

I was honored to have been apart of Christine and Simon’s special day, they were such a wonderful and fun loving couple, and very much in love. We just adored their family and friends as well!

Their photographer Jen Huang is extremely talented, and captured their day in the most beautiful way possible.

I am extremely excited to reveal this real wedding, and hope you all enjoy! Good Day Sunshine

Katie & Sam, Huntington Beach Wedding

A stunning couple, gorgeous day to get married and the most charming, rustic venue.  All part of the beautiful wedding day of Katie & Sam on October 23, 2010.

Katie loved the feel of the Red Horse Barn and opted for a hand-made, comfy, and crafty design for the reception.  Found provided awesome vintage furniture pieces around the dance floor, the dessert & gift tables, and made SUCH a difference in the space.  Floral pieces  were mason jars collected by the bride, and her family and filled with wildflowers and tied with colored ribbon.

For dinner, guests were first treated to hot, fresh-made quesadillas and cocktails, then Taco Man served up the most delicious tacos along with yummy sides.

Dessert was fabulous – homemade cookies by Katie’s mom, and donuts served with cold milk.  The guests were truly enjoying this end of the night treat.

So great working with Hoffmann Photographer.  Thank you for the incredible images!

Alyssa & Eric – Long Beach Wedding

This first photo says it all….

Alyssa and Eric are the cutest couple, full of laughs, hopes, happiness.  I truly enjoyed every second spent with them planning the details of their day.  Alyssa plans events herself, but she trusted and allowed me to assist as needed.  I love that!

Eric is a true Laker fan and my husband would have made friends quick-like with Eric!

I still communicate with Alyssa and Eric via e-mail and/or Facebook and I can’t imagine NOT hearing from them.  That’s how special they are to me.  I want to congratulate them both for such a gorgeous, detail-soaked, and full of love wedding day!

Thanks much to Trista Lerit for again, blowing us away with her beautiful images and showing everyone what the details really looked and felt like.

Thanks much to Karen at The Westin, Long Beach for your calm, professional and wonderful attitude.  What a breath of fresh air!

Morgan & Brett – Malibu Wedding – Part 3

And for the sweetest photos of them all, to continue the last in the series of the gorgeous, detail infused wedding of Morgan & Brett.

I cannot fail to mention the beautiful, custom-made runners and linens from Wildflower.  They had exactly what we were looking for and were able to create our vision perfectly.

The couple wanted a dessert-only reception, after providing appetizers and various foods  at their pre-ceremony event at  The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu.  We worked with 24 Carrots Catering to provide the most delicious and beautiful sweets spread.  On the menu:

* Mini cobblers

* Mini churros with spiced chocolate mousse

* Cheesecake stuffed & chocolate tuxedo strawberries

* Mini cupcake table including red velvet, lemon raspberry, coconut, and chocolate chocolate flavors

* Cake lollipops including vanilla cake, brownie and carrot cake flavors

* Homemade cookies in a mason jar for guests to take home

And the cake, oh the cake!  Morgan knew exactly what she wanted her cake to look like and taste like.  It would be a magnificent, tower of yumminess!  A 7-layer, white, coconut cake made by Rosebud Cakes.  I helped her design the table elements, Morgan found a vintage lace to use as an overlay and with help from Aly at Vine’s Leaf, it was all we dreamed and the cake tasted so good too!

Morgan & Brett – Malibu Wedding Part 2

A couple of days ago, you saw the fan-tab-ulous pictures by Adam at Embrace Life Photo from  Morgan & Brett’s wedding ceremony.  Well feast your eyes on the details of the reception!

We wanted to create groups of details at every turn, so that guests could enjoy the abundant space and lounge areas provided such as near the horse shoe game, in front of the dance floor, near the pool and more.

Lighting was important to our couple, so we had extra twinkle lights brought in to wrap several of the tree bottoms.  It worked so well, the glow of all the lights made the space look so magical.

We also created a path via candles and varying sized jars  as well as wooden signs to help direct guests through the entrance area, into the reception glory!

Part 3 of the series will include the ~ SWEETEST ~ part yet to come, so check back!

Morgan & Brett – Malibu Wedding

These pictures are amazing, the details were pure heaven.  And the wedding ceremony was all about Morgan & Brett.  I have been so excited to share these photos taken by Adam at Embrace Life Photography.  Adam is beyond talented as shown in the images below.  Part I of a few to come…If you think these are fab, wait until you see the reception!

Morgan and I met way back in the pre-planning stages of her wedding.  Morgan, her mom, and I sat at Starbucks and talked about her love of horses. her doggie and her wonderful Fiance, Brett.  Lucky for me, Morgan and Pam choose me to help plan and design the wedding details.  The theme: Rustic vintage with lots of romance.  I could not be more excited to get going on our ideas!

Needless to say, the entire event was breathtaking, from the ceremony arch put together on-site from driftwood, the flowes and lounge furniture in the pre-ceremony function area, the custom-made signange with a fun twist, the 7-layer pure white coconut cake and of course, our gorgeous bride & groom!

Wedding Inspiration – The 60′s

Came across these lovely, 60′s inspired wedding pictures by Sheena Jibson.  So pretty!

Just as a side note: Sheena wants to make sure her pictures are not taken from her site without the proper credit, as she should!!  As I right-clicked on the photos, a message pops up that reads “Stealing is not ok.  We all know where thieves end up.”  Is that great or what??  Sheena, I want to make sure you get credit where credit is deserved, so readers: make sure to visit Sheena’s blog when you have a moment.  Such awesome pictures to see.
